Mark Tuohey currently is Senior Counsel at BakerHostetler where his practice areas include the representation of corporate officials in white collar criminal investigations and trials, legislative investigations, internal corporate compliance, as well as D.C. government regulatory matters. He previously served as Director of the Mayor’s Office of Legal Counsel under Mayor Muriel Bowser, where he oversaw the D.C. agency lawyers and advised the mayor on a variety of legal issues affecting the District of Columbia.

During his 45 years as a member of the bar, Professor Tuohey served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, Special Trial Counsel at the Department of Justice, and has periodically been appointed by the government as special counsel to conduct investigations into matters of public policy.

Professor Tuohey is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a past President of the District of Columbia Bar, and he served as Chair of the D.C. Sports & Entertainment Commission where he assisted Mayor Williams in negotiating the return of major league baseball to the District of Columbia.
