Michael Madigan is a trial attorney in the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division’s Fraud Section. Before taking a position at the Department of Justice, he practiced civil litigation for over a decade at the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP. Professor Madigan has practiced in state and federal courts throughout the country at both the trial and appellate levels. Prior to earning his law degree from the University of California-Los Angeles, Professor Madigan earned undergraduate degrees in Economics and History from the University of Virginia, and worked for three years at the Federal Trade Commission, where he conducted econometric analysis of antitrust and consumer protection issues.
