Sara D. Schotland was a Litigation Partner in the Washington office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. She remains as a senior counsel to the Firm. Professor Schotland earned her JD from Georgetown Law, her MA in English literature from Georgetown University, and her PhD in English literature from the University of Maryland. She has authored numerous articles on law and literature that have appeared in the Women’s History Review, Comparative Literature Studies, and other journals, including an essay forthcoming from Cambridge University Press. Among other conferences, she appeared at the Modern Language Association’s Annual Meeting addressing the future of Law and Literature.
