When will there be enough women on the court? And my answer is when there are nine.\u201d Though Justice Ginsburg\u2019s wishes are far from fulfilled, President Joe Biden\u2019s nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to fill the role of retiring Justice Stephen Breyer is significant. Justice Jackson\u2019s recent confirmation signifies the most women justices the Court has had in its history, and the first Black woman on the Supreme Court. The impact of women\u2019s voices on the Supreme Court is far reaching. Women\u2019s presence on the highest bench in the nation is crucial to the advancement of the law in this country. Women\u2014especially multiple women from a diverse range of backgrounds\u2014bring unique perspective to a historically white-male bench.
