Cameron Mulrooney (he/they) is HRI’s 2024-25 Georgetown Partner Fellow. Before coming to HRI, Cameron interned at Immigration Equality, aiding representation of LGBTQ+ individuals seeking asylum in the United States. Cameron was also the Man with brown hair wearing grey suit with blue shirt in front of city setting.Human Rights Campaign’s Spring 2023 McCleary Law Fellow, where his work centered on possible Constitutional challenges to various anti-LGBTQ+ state legislation. He also interned for the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights Coalition (CAIR), where he researched international law and immigration issues. Cameron also interned at Fair Trials international, where his work focused on domestic and international standards regarding unlawful interrogations.

Cameron earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in May 2024He also earned the Georgetown Law Pro Bono Pledge Recognition for his work primarily on country conditions packets for LGBTQ+ individuals. In May 2021, Cameron graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Political Science, a B.A. in International Studies, and a B.I.S. composed of Women and Gender Studies, LGBTQ+ Studies, and History.
