Urim Shin is a 2023 LLM candidate and a Fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law at the Georgetown University Law Center. Her interests include corporate governance and securities regulations, real estate and development, trade, negotiations and cross-border dispute resolutions. Moving forward, she is interested in how multi-national companies function and carry out their business enterprise in emerging economies lacking government institutions and legal frameworks.

Before attending Georgetown, Urim served as a Prosecutor and commercial real estate lawyer in New Zealand. She also spent 18 months in Korea and experienced countless cross-cultural exchanges and developed a keen interest for international work. Urim holds a conjoint LLB and BA degree majoring in English and Political Science from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
