Growing up in Beijing, China, Kate majored in International Relations and Psychology at University of Rochester and focused her research on regional politics in South East Asia and Latin America. She currently works at the World Bank, the Office of Suspension and Debarment, assisting supervising attorneys in reviewing sanctions cases and summarizing Global Suspension & Debarment Survey.

At Georgetown, she is a student attorney at Harrison Institute of Public Law’s Trade Team, helping clients to attaching labor standards to green initiatives. She is also External Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution team, currently competing in the Vis International Commercial Arbitration 2021. Outside of work and school, she enjoys cooking, photography, and hip-hop music
