Lind\u00e9n"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00c5ke Sten Oscar Lind\u00e9n<\/strong> was a Swedish trade law expert and longtime senior official of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), whose career spanned the development of the multilateral trading system from the 1960s through the creation of the WTO. He joined the GATT Secretariat in 1961 and held a number of senior positions, including Director of the Tariff Division and, from 1983 to 1985, Director of the Office of Legal Affairs.
