Examining efforts to discredit the <em>Chevron\u00a0<\/em>doctrine and to reimagine the rulemaking process shows how immigration\u00a0law allies share some of the concerns of administrative law adversaries. Also,\u00a0there are immigration law implications if these reforms take hold. In addition\u00a0to considering immigration law implications, the broader consequences are\u00a0important. Immigration law allies should be aware that some who are arguing\u00a0against <em>Chevron<\/em> deference and that some who are arguing to add obligations\u00a0to the rulemaking process are doing so because ultimately they prefer to\u00a0weaken, if not destroy, the administrative state.
