Thanh joined the Faculty Services Department at the Georgetown Law Library in 2007, and is currently the Head of Library Research Services. He has worked at the Library since 1989, first as the Media Assistant in charge of managing the microform collection, and then as the Interlibrary Loan Coordinator.

Thanh received his J.D. and M.S.L.S. from the Catholic University of America, and his B.A. in International Studies from George Mason University. While in law school, he represented clients as a student attorney for the Columbus School of Law’s Advocacy for the Elderly Clinic.

Thanh is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Virginia State Bar (VSB), and currently serves on the Joint Spring Workshop Committee for the Law Librarians’ Society of Washington, D.C. (LLSDC).
