Payments are not accepted at the Circulation Desk.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"mailto:lawcirc@georgetown.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">Email the Circulation Desk<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>, call (202-662-9131), or visit the Circulation Desk for questions concerning the amount or the reason for fines or charges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Lost Items<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>All items overdue by four weeks are declared lost by the Law Library.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to any accrued overdue and recall fines, the patron will be charged a replacement fee of $110.00.<\/li>\n<li>Replacement bills for videos and umbrellas may be issued beginning one week past the due date.<\/li>\n<li>Replacement bills for Reserve materials may be issued beginning four days past the due date.<\/li>\n<li>Replacement fees will be waived if the item is returned before replacement is charged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Damaged Items<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Patrons that return a damaged item will be charged a replacement fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Recalls<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You will receive an email notice if an item you borrowed has been recalled by the library to meet an operational need.<\/li>\n<li>You will be provided a new due date for the item.<\/li>\n<li>Fines will be assessed if a recalled item is not returned by the new due date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Overdue Fine\/Lost Book Appeal<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact the Circulation Desk to appeal a notice for a fine or submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/library\/services\/borrowing\/fines\/overdue-fine-lost-book-appeal\/\">Overdue\/Lost Book Fine Appeal Form<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to explain why the book was not renewed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Claims Returned Procedure<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact the Circulation Desk if you received a lost book or overdue notice for materials that you believe have been returned, or submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/library\/services\/borrowing\/patron-claims-returned-form\/\">Patron Claims Returned Form<\/a> (which contains additional information regarding our Claims Returned Procedure).<\/li>\n<li>Your library privileges are not affected while the Law Library investigates your claim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Local<b>Academic Library Books (Including from Main Campus)<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Books borrowed by choosing <i>Request book from a Local Academic Library<\/i> within the catalog fall under the policies, procedures, and fines indicated by that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wrlc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.wrlc.org\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1661455435172000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2MVkZDB1NpV7LyyHzw1q9-\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">lending library<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>Specifically, books loaned from the main campus fall under\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.library.georgetown.edu\/policies-services\/borrowing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.library.georgetown.edu\/policies-services\/borrowing&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1661455435172000&amp;usg=AOvVaw3HR6HrjqUUQqxsIAFL7HVT\" class=\"cx_external_link\"><span class=\"cx_external_hyperlink\">Lauinger Library policies, fines, and procedures<\/span><span class=\"visually_hide\">(This link opens in a new tab)<\/span><span class=\"cx_external_icon\"><\/span><\/a>.
