Journals and microformats are on the <a href=\"\/library\/maps\/williams\/?floor=1\">first floor<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Most call numbers on our Law Library materials appear like this:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<caption>Reference notation to locate an item in the library<\/caption>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<th>KF245<\/th>\n<td>Look for shelves with KF, then look for 245.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>.U5<\/th>\n<td>Within KF245, look for U5.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<th>2000<\/th>\n<td>The last line is usually, but not always, the publication year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2>&#8220;In Process&#8221; Items<\/h2>\n<p>If you find an item in the catalog that is &#8220;<strong>in process<\/strong>,&#8221; go to the Reference Desk and request that the item be rush processed.\u00a0 The item can usually be made available within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<h2>Missing Item Searches<\/h2>\n<p>Can&#8217;t find the book on the shelf?\u00a0 Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gtownlaw.li\/primo\">online catalog<\/a>, search for the book title and confirm the location, call number and status. If the book is listed as &#8220;Stacks&#8221; or &#8220;INTL&#8221; with a status of &#8220;available&#8221; and you can&#8217;t locate the item in the stacks submit a missing book search request. You may complete the <a href=\"\/library\/locating-materials\/missing-book\/\">Missing Book Search Request Form<\/a>. The Law Library staff will search for the item over the next few weeks and will let you know via email if we find it.
