Ruhi Kumar is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Georgetown Centre for National Security and the Law. Ruhi received her LL.M in Tech, Law, and Policy from Georgetown University Law Center in 2022 and received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is currently In-House Legal and Compliance Counsel at MFX Solutions, a boutique firm that specializes in providing derivative instruments to facilitate emerging market investments.
Ruhi is passionate about the intersection between law and technology, having previously worked at UBS and Baker McKenzie. At UBS, Ruhi was part of the Global Wealth Management division where she advised emerging growth technology startups and connected them with the banks Ultra High Net (UHNI) worth clients for potential business and investment opportunities. Ruhi’s research focuses on evaluating existing social media governance structures in India and Hong Kong and developing holistic governance models to address risks associated with emerging technologies.
