Georgetown Law's Faculty Named Among Top Ten for Business Law

A recent survey conducted by top legal education blogger Brian Leiter found that Georgetown University Law Center's faculty ranks among the nation's 10 best for business law.
In his poll to determine the "Top Ten Business Law Faculties of 2013," Leiter recognized Georgetown Law Professors Randy Barnett, Jeffrey D. Bauman, Christopher Brummer, Richard D. Diamond, Emma Coleman Jordan, Gregory Klass, Donald C. Langevoort, Adam J. Levitin, Elizabeth Hayes Patterson, Alicia Plerhoples, Steven Salop, Howard Shelanski, Daniel Tarullo, Robert B. Thompson, and Dean Emeritus Robert Pitofsky. Leiter defined "business law" as expertise in the fields of antitrust, banking law, bankruptcy, commercial law, contracts, corporate law and securities regulation.
Georgetown Law came in ninth among a group that includes Harvard, Columbia, New York University, Yale, the University of Chicago, Stanford, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Virginia.
