Volunteer to Be a Reunion Ambassador on Your Class Outreach Committee<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The class with the most alumni attending Reunion Weekend will be presented the Attendance Cup at The Reunion Gala at The National Building Museum!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

What is a Reunion Ambassador?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Reunion Ambassadors are alumni celebrating a Reunion Year (1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, 2021) who have volunteered to join their Class Outreach Committee. Reunion Ambassadors volunteer to assist the Georgetown Law Alumni Office with outreach initiatives to their classmates with the goal of having the best possible turnout at Reunion Weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is expected of a Reunion Ambassador?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As an Ambassador, the Alumni Office will provide you with tools and resources to help spread the word about Reunion Weekend to your classmates. Direct classmate outreach from Reunion Ambassadors is critical to ensuring the best possible turnout for your class.<\/span><\/p>\n

The time commitment is entirely up to you. The Alumni Office is appreciative of all Ambassador efforts to encourage classmates to attend Reunion Weekend. We embrace all methods of communication from email, text messages, calls, and\/or social media posts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why Should I Be a Reunion Ambassador on my Class Committee?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to ensuring excellent turnout for your class, Ambassadors have the ability to weigh in on features of their Class Party (a Friday night gathering exclusive to your classmates and guests). Reunion Ambassadors receive frequent programming and registration updates from the Office of Alumni Affairs in the lead up to October. You will also receive a discount on your Reunion Weekend registration fees and exclusive access to the Loyalty Society Lounge at the Reunion Picnic, as a thank you for your time and efforts. Serving as an Ambassador is a great way to stay in the know about Reunion Weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Optional Class Outreach Committee Fundraising<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As an Ambassador, you will be kept up to date on your class\u2019s progress to reach its Class Gift goal. Fundraising is entirely optional as a Reunion Ambassador, and you may choose whether or not to make a class gift yourself (of any size) or encourage classmates to contribute to the class gift. Giving Cups will be awarded at the Reunion Gala to the class with the highest percentage of classmates making a gift or pledge to the Law Center, the class that raises the most funds for the Law Center, the class with the highest percentage of classmates who are members of Georgetown\u2019s Legacy Society, and the class with the highest percentage of classmates who are members of Georgetown\u2019s Loyalty Society.<\/span><\/p>\n

I Volunteered to Be a Reunion Ambassador! What\u2019s Next?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you so much for joining your Class Outreach Committee as a Reunion Ambassador! Each Reunion Class has its own Class Committee of Ambassadors. The Alumni Office will host an introductory call for each committee in April 2026. During this call, we will answer questions about Reunion Weekend and review the tools and resources available to help you with classmate outreach. Please encourage any friends or classmates who might enjoy serving as an Ambassador to sign up by April 3, 2026 so we can take their calendar preferences into account when we schedule our introductory calls. In the meantime, you can get a head start as a Reunion Ambassador by forwarding Reunion Weekend emails to classmates and encouraging them to save the date (October 2 – October 4, 2026)!<\/span><\/p>\n
