With shifting federal priorities, many states have stepped up as innovative protectors of consumer rights and welfare. State attorneys general (AGs), in particular, now inhabit a central place in the privacy and consumer protection landscape, using their enforcement powers to shape policy on the ground to set the tone for state and federal debates about online privacy and the digital economy.

The Institute’s Attorney General Technology Education Network (AG-TEN) supports the efforts of AGs as they navigate complex technical questions. AG-TEN leverages Georgetown’s deep expertise in technology law and policy and its network of outside subject matter experts in order to better equip AGs to take on these challenges.
