Find Jobs and Research Employers
There are different resources available to learn more about opportunities across legal practice settings. In these pages we share many resources we recommend you use in your job search.
These websites provide information on legal employers in the private and public sectors, as well as listings of internship and/or entry-level opportunities available to current law students and recent graduates.
These lists are not exhaustive, and for more subject-area specific resources we suggest you explore the Practice Area pages.
Symplicity is Georgetown’s online recruitment management system which houses current postings of jobs, internships/externships and post-graduate fellowships. Students also use Symplicity for on-campus recruiting programs, to apply for some judicial clerkships, to complete and view summer employment evaluations and more. Login using your Georgetown Law NetID and password (first year students will not have access to job search functions on Symplicity until October 15). Symplicity requires two-factor authentication through DUO. Please check your DUO device (desk or mobile phone) to approve login. Check out the IST webpage for more information regarding security and passwords.
Where 1Ls Worked – Summer 2019: We have put together a list of employers that often hire GULC 1Ls. Use it as a starting point — there will be countless additional opportunities you will be able to apply for via PSRP, jobs databases, networking, and other sources. However, as a starting point, it’s extremely helpful to begin your search with a snapshot of a typical summer 1L employer list. We encourage you to also review the Summer Evaluations found in Symplicity, and also network internally with 2Ls and 3Ls – upper division students are a wealth of information and connections!
