{"id":8700,"date":"2019-03-17T22:32:22","date_gmt":"2019-03-18T02:32:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/your-life-career\/diversity-inclusion-2\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T18:29:06","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T18:29:06","slug":"equity-inclusion-office","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.law.georgetown.edu\/your-life-career\/diversity-inclusion\/equity-inclusion-office\/","title":{"rendered":"Office of Equity &amp; Inclusion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In light of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.georgetown.edu\/who-we-are\/our-catholic-jesuit-heritage\/&amp;sa=D&amp;source=docs&amp;ust=1755638493123671&amp;usg=AOvVaw2aucnSDErO9NHoyNy8YlF3\">Jesuit mission<\/a> to educate the whole person (<em>cura personalis<\/em>) and our ongoing commitment to fostering a respectful, collaborative legal community, Georgetown Law launched the Office of Equity &amp; Inclusion (OEI) in 2016 to advance community-wide inclusion and broad access to opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>OEI collaborates with the Law Center community\u2014including staff, faculty, students, alumni, and university partners\u2014to maintain an environment that welcomes people from a wide variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. We work strategically to develop and support inclusive community initiatives through open-access programming, educational and training opportunities, professional skill-building, and advisory services available to all members of the Law Center community.<\/p>\n<p><em>All programs and activities are open to all Georgetown University students regardless of race, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other characteristic protected under <a href=\"https:\/\/ideaa.georgetown.edu\/notice-of-non-discrimination\/\">University policy<\/a> or applicable law.
