Hate proliferates online. The substance of hate online is not novel; the internet is merely the newest ‘location’ for age-old bigotries. Over the last decade, the manosphere has become a central hub for much of this enmity—growing in prominence through increased online engagement and scholarly attention. In order to combat virulent online anti-feminism and the manosphere as its haven, renewed legislative reform must provide for proactive regulation of social media platforms.
