11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Alumni Lecture: Outgunned No More (Free) (On-Campus: Anne Fleming Classroom)

Hear from Professor Linda Mullenix, L’80, about her upcoming book Outgunned No More: The New Era of Firearms Industry Accountability. Professor Mullenix, who currently serves as Professor and Morris and Rita Atlas Chair in Advocacy at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, will address the changed legal landscape under which governments and private citizens can sue the gun industry for contributing to and sustaining the gun violence epidemic in the US and Mexico. Professor Mullenix concludes that a firearms mass tort litigation, modeled after the resolution of claims in the tobacco industry, is the best path forward.

9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Critical Issues in Estate Planning and Asset Protection (Free) (On-Campus: Anne Fleming Classroom)

The Georgetown Legacy Society invites you to a complimentary estate planning seminar addressing common pitfalls and major mistakes seen in today’s estate planning and explaining important tools and critical strategies to use to avoid them.

Join Georgetown Law’s Office of Executive and Continuing Legal Education for a workshop exploring your leadership style and personal strengths. The workshop will dive into your unique combination of strengths, as assessed through a Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment, and show you how to leverage your specific skillset to maximize your life. The workshop fee includes your CliftonStrengths assessment, which you will complete in advance of the session.
