Join us for a warm welcome to town! We invite the Class of 1974 to join us for a casual welcome reception at Groom Law Group on the Thursday evening of Reunion Weekend. Stop by to take in stunning views of the White House and be the first to greet and connect with your fellow 50th Reunion alumni. This luncheon is exclusive to alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Alumni from the Class of 1974 and preceding years are invited to a celebratory luncheon to share stories of Georgetown Law and receive a special token for their membership in our Founders’ Circle.

Georgetown Law’s Centers & Institutes (C&Is) represent the future of legal education. Inspired by the Law Center’s motto, “Law is but the means, justice is the end,” our 20+ Centers & Institutes enable students to actively participate in shaping policy, producing law school graduates with the practical and intellectual skills to adapt to a complex and constantly changing world. The event will begin with a panel that features a C&I executive director, a C&I faculty director, and a Law Center alum who now works at one of our centers. Each will discuss their work and highlight how our C&Is are delivering unique and cutting-edge opportunities for our students. A light reception will follow the panel discussion with opportunities to talk with centers’ staff about their latest work.

The Georgetown Legacy Society invites you to a complimentary estate planning seminar addressing common pitfalls and major mistakes seen in today’s estate planning and explaining important tools and critical strategies to use to avoid them. 

10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – Documentary and Discussion: “A Pathway Forward” (Free) (On-Campus: Anne Fleming Classroom)

For 50+ years, the Georgetown Street Law program has provided professional development for law students while actively engaging with the D.C. community by teaching law to high school students. The first course of its kind, Georgetown Street Law has spawned hundreds of domestic and international chapters, making Street Law the preeminent high school-to-law school pipeline program.

Join us for a showing of the new documentary, “A Pathway Forward,” which uses a partnership between the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and historic Central High School to demonstrate how the program is so effective. The film shares the Georgetown Law experience with Street Law, as the founder of the program’s concept and approach. After the film is shown, a panel will discuss how attendees can participate in or support such programs. Coffee and pastries provided!

12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Hoya Lawya Reunion Picnic ($25.00) (On-Campus: Eleanor Holmes Norton Green)

Celebrate Reunion at this “can’t miss” event! Join us for great food and entertainment on the Eleanor Holmes Norton Tower Green. Featuring food trucks, live music, and lawn games, the Hoya Lawya Reunion Picnic is family-friendly and has something for everyone!

6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Reunion Gala and Presentation of Alumni Awards ($175.00) (National Building Museum)

Enjoy an elegant evening with your classmates at the historic National Building Museum. The event will include a cocktail hour, dinner, class pictures, and presentation of the Paul R. Dean Alumni Awards, Robert F. Drinan, S.J. Law Alumni Public Service Award, and Reunion Class Cups. Dinner will be followed by a dessert reception, cocktails and lots of dancing!

This event is black tie optional & complimentary valet parking will be available.

Join the Georgetown Law Campus Ministry team as they invite students and alumni of all faiths to come together to support and connect with one another. This event serves as a special opportunity to celebrate all faith communities, a central pillar of the Office’s mission. Coffee and a continental breakfast will be provided!
