SALPAL Hosts Panel on "Hate Crimes and Online Extremist Recruitment: Lessons from States and Cities at the Frontline"

Georgetown Law’s State and Local Government Policy and Law (SALPAL) Project hosted a panel of current and former public officials to discuss state and local alternatives to stagnant federal action on addressing hate crimes and online extremist recruitment.

Panelists included former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, D.C. Attorney General Karl A. Racine, and Mary B. McCord, Legal Director, Georgetown Law’s Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection and former U.S. Acting Assistant Attorney General for National Security. The panel was moderated by SALPAL Executive Director Meryl Chertoff.
