A cohort of JD and LLM students assume cabinet-level and sub-cabinet level roles in helping the President (Professor Mary DeRosa) and Vice President navigate a series of very realistic and intertwined national security threats. The simulation was coordinated by Professor Laura Donohue and was supported and evaluated by current and former officials from the White House and across the intelligence community. It features a breathtaking array of cutting edge technologies and the legal and ethical issues they present. Moffatt came away thoroughly impressed with the experience, despite the lack of publicly financed housing and transportation services.

It's amazing what legal lessons are the most lasting. It's amazing what legal lessons are the most lasting. I sometimes catch myself telling younger colleagues to "separate the wheat from the chaff" as well as "pigs get fat but hogs get slaughtered." ("pigs" stood for passive income generators, I'm not sure what "hogs" stand for.) But it's good advice nonetheless and applicable in many situations! Looking forward to seeing classmates lo these many years.

Following graduation, I returned to the LA area and practiced Labor and Employment law at Mitchell & Knupp LLP. In 1998, I went in-house to Sony Pictures Entertainment and 28 years later I am still there. The scope of my role has changed over the years which has kept it interesting. I currently oversee Ethics & Legal Compliance in addition to the Employment and Labor Relations legal groups.
My husband Mike and I live in Manhattan Beach where we raised our two kids. -
