Before coming to Georgetown in 2019, Debbie had careers as both a labor lawyer and a law librarian. Her appellate advocacy experience includes seven years at the National Labor Relations Board, Division of Enforcement Litigation, Appellate Court Branch. While at the NLRB, Debbie briefed and argued cases in the majority of the United States Circuit Courts. More recently, Debbie was the Deputy Chief Counsel for Federal Labor Relations Board Member, now Chairman, Ernie DuBester.

Beginning in the 2023-2023 academic year, Debbie will be co-teaching the Supreme Court Institute Clerkship Practicum.
