The Georgetown Law Institute for Technology Law & Policy welcomes Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee and a senior member of the Senate Judiciary, Finance, and Environment & Public Works Committees. Sen. Whitehouse and his Chief of Staff, Monalisa Dugue join adjunct faculty member David Goodfriend for a discussion on technology policy, how they view the Supreme Court and what has influenced it, climate issues, and the role of staff in the legislative process. They will also discuss the crucial role that Sen. Whitehouse and his office are expected to play in Congress’s impending budget crisis, as well as the Senator’s recent book, The Scheme.
