Class of 2025

Donara Aghajani graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California in 2020, earning a B.A. in Political Science with a pre-law emphasis and completed a Departmental honors thesis: Intergroup Emotions Theory and Collective Identity: A Study on the Armenian Diaspora of Southern California. While in undergrad, she became interested in the intersection of technology and law. She completed a research proposal applying Kantian Ethics to morality in AI and she also took several Computer Science and Information Security classes.

Donara was a 1L Diversity Scholar in Goodwin Procter’s Santa Monica office, and she also completed a four week secondment with Mattel’s legal department in their global headquarters. In her second year of law school, Donara was a research assistant to Anupam Chander and was published in Tech Policy Press. She further explored the field of technology law & policy by completing a public policy fellowship with Google in partnership with TechFreedom, a non-partisan think tank based in Washington D.C. During the summer of 2024, she will be a 2L Summer Associate at Latham & Watkins in their Los Angeles office.

Born in Iran and raised in Southern California, Donara holds strong ties to her Iranian and Armenian heritages as a member of both diasporas. She is a native Armenian speaker and hopes to one day perfect her Armenian reading and writing skills. She also hopes to one day facilitate a program to provide innovative technology and resources to Armenia, especially to regions most in need of renewable resources. In her free time, Donara loves to explore coffee shops in search of the best cortado, explore different cultures while traveling, and play tennis.
