Class of 2025

Sam grew up in the Bay Area in California and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. She concentrated her coursework on Corporate Social Responsibility and Innovation.

As an undergraduate, Sam investigated human rights violations using digital open-source tools at the Human Rights Investigations Lab at Berkeley Law, working with NGOs, government actors, and national news outlets on projects related to election misinformation on social media and police violence against protestors. Her passion for leveraging ethical technology development for business, advocacy and litigation practices was furthered through her involvement in the Haas Center for Equity, Gender and Leadership and internships for California Supreme Court Justice Cuéllar and a technology venture capital firm abroad.

After graduation, Sam began her work at Apple, first in a rotational program where she learned about many areas of hardware and software development–from early research and development to end-of-life recycling and refurbishment. Then, she joined the Corporate Development team, where she collaborated with engineering and business leaders to integrate acquired companies into Apple and interacted with the technology and corporate merger regulatory landscape.

At Georgetown Law, Sam is building upon her interests in civil rights and technology by externing at the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, competing in an appellate moot court related to the First Amendment and content moderation, and researching with Professor Erin Carroll.
