Preparing for Election and Transition Disruptions

In this virtual program Dean William M. Treanor interviews Rosa Brooks about her life and career. The conversation focuses on Professor Brooks’ work with the Transition Integrity Project, which conducted scenario-based exercises aimed at identifying potential risks to the integrity of the November 3, 2020 election and transition process.

Brooks serves as the Scott K. Ginsburg Professor of Law and Policy and as Associate Dean for Centers and Institutes. On faculty since 2007, she teaches courses in international law, national security, constitutional law, and criminal justice. A sworn, armed reserve police officer with the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police Department, her work as founder of Georgetown Law’s Innovative Policing Program has been celebrated and widely covered. A bestselling author, her most recent book arrived in February, 2021, to rave reviews — Tangled Up In Blue: Policing the American City.

Originally a class session, this program was recorded for wide release.
