Brief Bio

Professor Francisco Ibarra Palafox holds a PhD degree in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master in Political Theory from the London School of Economics. He is a full time researcher in the Institute for Legal Research (UNAM) and specializes in Multiculturalism and Citizenship studies; Professor Ibarra currently heads the Postgraduate Program at the Institute for Legal Research and teaches Political Theory in the UNAM Postgraduate Law School, he regularly speaks at conferences in Mexico and abroad. Among his awards he got the Mexican Academy of Science Prize given to the best doctoral research in social science.
