Advocate: A Guide to Student Involvement in Local Governance

The DC Council is accepting testimony on B24-0306 (“The Youth Rights Amendment of 2021”). Please Join the ACLU at Georgetown Law to discuss this bill with Professor Eduardo Ferrer (Georgetown Juvenile Justice Clinic & Initiative) and Alumni Nick‚ Savain (D.C. Justice Lab). We will also focus on how students can give effective testimony, engage with local government, and ultimately draft testimony regarding B24-0306 which the ACLU at GULC will submit on our organization’s behalf to the D.C. Council.
