Carlos is a LL.M. student at Georgetown University Law Center. He is an International Business and Economic Law student, with an emphasis in Securities & Financial Law. He studied at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. His first bachelor’s degree was in Political Science, with an emphasis in Political theory and International Relations. His second bachelor’s degree is in law, where he specialized in Corporate Law and Human Rights. Carlos wrote a law degree thesis in relation to the nascent regime of human Rights and Corporate Governance and how it is being applied in the Colombian regime.

Before attending Georgetown University, Carlos worked as an investigative attorney for the Attorney’s General Office in Bogota, Colombia. His work specialized in assuring a legal framework for the protection of human rights of victims in the phenomena of the transitional Justice Process held in Colombia. His interest is based in the arena of International Development, Market regulations and Financial Law.
