Cyriel Danneels is an LL.M Student pursuing a degree in International Business and Economic Law with a certificate in WTO and international trade studies. He received his law degree from the University of Leuven in Leuven, Belgium, where he graduated cum laude. His studies were focused on International and European trade and investment law.

During his studies in Belgium, Cyriel interned for two high-end Belgian law firms in corporate and commercial law. After obtaining his Master’s degree, he worked for the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Africa, where he did an internship at the Belgian embassies in Ethiopia and Burundi. After that, Cyriel worked for the European Parliament for four months where he did preparatory and legal work for a Member of Parliament in the International Trade Committee. It is precisely this intersection of law and public policy that is of great interest to him.
