Freya is an LL.M. student at Georgetown University Law Center. She holds a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Bucerius-Jura-Scholarship from the Zeit-Foundation and the German Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). 

Prior to coming to Georgetown, Freya worked as a research assistant in public regulatory law at an international law firm in Berlin. She received her law degree from the University of Freiburg in 2023, specializing in public international law and European law. Freya also holds a B.A. degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Freiburg. Her professional experience ranges from working as a student research assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Crime, Security and Law to internships at the Finance Department of the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union in Brussels and at the German Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin. 

Freya currently works as an intern in the Labor Rights and Corporate Accountability Department at the ABA Center for Human Rights in Washington D.C. She is interested in the intersection of international economic law and climate change and in the governance of multinational corporations with a particular focus on labor rights.
