Gail Rose Anne Egar is a Merit Scholar at Georgetown University Law Center, where she is currently pursuing an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law and a certificate in Securities and Financial Law.

Prior to studying at Georgetown, Gail worked as a securities counsel at the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission in the Markets and Securities Department. Before that, she worked as a Junior Associate at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala Cruz Law Offices, a top law firm in the Philippines, where she developed her interest in securities and capital markets. 

Gail received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines – Diliman in 2018. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from the same university in 2012, where she graduated cum laude. Before studying law, she worked as a management associate at AIA Life, an insurance company. 

At Georgetown, Gail is also an LL.M. Advisor at Georgetown Journal of International Law and a research assistant at the Edward Bennett Williams Law Library.  In her spare time, Gail enjoys practicing Pilates, watching criminal procedural drama, listening to music, trying out different restaurants in the DMV area, and drinking a nice cup of matcha latte.
