Irene Chiaki Korley-Ayerteye is a full-time LLM student at Georgetown University Law Center and is interested in international trade and development and how to use trade to fight the Climate crisis particularly in the developing world. At Georgetown Law, Irene serves as an LLM Chair for the Georgetown Society for Trade, Investment and Development. She is a member of the Georgetown African Law Society and the Black Law Students Association. Prior to Georgetown Law, Irene worked as a lecturer at Mountcrest University College in Accra, Ghana, where she taught International Trade and Investment Law and Commercial Law. 

Irene holds an LLM from Queen Mary University of London where she studied Commercial and Corporate Law (with specialization in International Commercial Arbitration and Banking Law), and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law, Mountcrest University College, Ghana. Irene is admitted to the Nigerian and Ghana Bars where she practices in the area of Corporate Law and International Commercial Arbitration.
