Marina is a 2023-2024 LLM candidate in the International Business and Economic Law Program (IBEL) at Georgetown University. She is pursuing a certificate in WTO Law & International Trade Studies, and she is a member of the Georgetown Society for Trade, Investment and Development (GSTID). 

She holds a Bachelor of Laws from FGV São Paulo School of Law, with a certificate of complementary formation in international relations, and a professional master’s degree in economics from FGV São Paulo School of Economics.

Before coming to Georgetown, she was a senior associate at Nasser Advogados, a Brazilian boutique law firm. She has several years of experience in trade remedy investigations in Latin America, international consultancy (including contracts, competition, regulatory and customs law) and international arbitration. She was also the co-editor of the Brazilian Journal of International Trade Law. 

In 2018, she was selected for the Complementary Formation on International Trade Program at the Brazilian Mission of Brazil to the WTO in Geneva. Before that, she was a research assistant at the Brazilian Center for Global Trade and Investment Studies, where she studied the impacts of voluntary sustainability standards on international trade. 

Her areas of interest include international trade law, economy, and policy and international development.
