Preethi Vatadahosahalli, is an LLM student at Georgetown University Law Center, Class of 2024, with a passion for International Business and Economic Law and WTO Jurisprudence. As a first-generation lawyer, Preethi earned First Class Honors in B.A, L.L.B from Christ University, Bangalore, India, where she delved into the intricacies of International Trade Law during wartime conflicts in her dissertation. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Center on Inclusive Trade and Development, led by esteemed Professors Jennifer Hillman and Katrin Kuhlmann, Preethi is committed to advancing her expertise in the intersection of law, economics, and world trade. Her journey extends beyond the classroom, as she was a participant in the distinguished Summer School Program on Private International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law in The Hague, Netherlands.

Preethi’s academic pursuits reflect her deep interest in Global Economic Policies, International Trade in Services, and the synergy between International Law and Economics. With a vision to make a profound impact in the realm of International Trade and Economic Law, she aspires to contribute meaningfully to the field.

Beyond her legal endeavors, Preethi finds joy in dancing and exploring new destinations. In the spirit of giving back, she spearheads “IKSHA,” a pro bono initiative guiding aspiring LLM students in their pursuit of studying abroad. Through her published articles in The Times of India, Preethi has demonstrated her commitment to legal analysis and thoughtful commentary on judicial pronouncements.

She hopes to forge a positive impact in the field of International Trade in Services, Sustainable Development in Developing Economies, and International Trade Law space through her work.
