Sonia is a current LL.M. student at Georgetown University Law Center, and her focus involves coursework in International Business Transactions, Energy, and Project Finance. On campus, she is also on the Executive Committee of Georgetown’s Society for Trade, Investment and Development (GSTID).

Prior to starting her LL.M., Sonia worked for several years as a corporate and M&A attorney in Spain, her home country, and more recently as a foreign Legal Expert for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) consulting firm headquartered in Arlington (VA). She graduated from Pompeu Fabra University with a Bachelor of Laws and a minor in International Studies, where she was a Pompeu Fabra University Scholarship recipient. She’s particularly interested in renewable energy projects and the role of both private entities and international organizations in tackling climate change.

Sonia is from Barcelona (Spain), and enjoys taking pictures and going to the movies in her free time.
