Sydney is a second-year law student at the Georgetown University Law Center. As an IIEL Fellow, she is interested in exploring how sovereign debt can be leveraged to finance sustainable development. On campus, she is a Public Interest Fellow and volunteers for the Humane Society of the United States and Project Underdog, a nonprofit strengthening legal protections for companion animals.
Before law school, Sydney worked for the American Bar Association. She graduated from the University of Illinois, where she was an Edmund J. James Scholar. She interned for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and Illinois State Senate throughout college. Sydney is from Chicago and enjoys vegan cooking and stand-up comedy in her free time.
