Zahir is a 1L at Georgetown Law in Cohort 7 of the Business Law Scholars program. After law school, he hopes to practice litigation in Big Law. On campus, he is a member of CFLO. He will be completing an internship with Delta Air Lines this summer in Atlanta, GA.

Background

Prior to law school, Zahir worked at Deloitte Consulting in Atlanta. There, he prepared, analyzed, and provided recommendations on key performance measures for the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (NCEZID) and Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to improve impact communication to Congress.

Zahir graduated from Emory University with a degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science. During undergrad, he was a nationally successful policy debater for the Barkley Forum for Debate, Deliberation, & Dialogue. As a member of the Barkley Forum, Zahir won the American Debate Association National Championship in 2020. Following graduation, Zahir has continued to serve as a coach for the Emory University debate team. He was additionally a contributor to the Emory Economics Review, concentrating on issues primarily surrounding the economics of healthcare.

Beyond Law School

Zahir is from Chanhassen, Minnesota. In his free time, he enjoys watching football/basketball/soccer, running, going to museums, exploring new restaurants, cooking, and traveling.
