Jack Thorlin serves as chief counsel on the Senate Republican Policy Committee. He previously served in on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, where he conducted investigations and developed legislation primarily relating to federal ethics programs, security clearances, and cost-benefit analysis. Before that, he worked at the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, first under Sen. John McCain and then Sen. Rob Portman. While at PSI, he oversaw investigations into, among other things, online advertising practices, corporate tax avoidance, and defense programs. Professor Thorlin holds a B.A. in Engineering Sciences, cum laude in field, from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
