Professor Taurman is a retired partner in the complex commercial litigation section of Vinson & Elkins LLP. He practiced commercial litigation for over forty years, with an emphasis on antitrust, patent, and contract cases. His specialty is constructing and defending against claims for monetary relief, and he has presented and cross-examined dozens of damages experts (economists, statisticians, accountants, actuaries, law professors, among others) in numerous trials and arbitrations for both plaintiffs and defendants. He has also authored articles on lost profits and reasonable royalties.
