Mark Poerio is a senior counsel in Wagner Law Group. See CNBC Announcement. For more than 30 years, Mark has been in private practice with a focus on executive compensation, employee benefit, and fiduciary matters, especially from a business, governance, tax, securities, and litigation perspective. Mark is Chambers-rated, and recently completed his terms both as President of the ABA’s prestigious American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC), and as a member of the executive board of the American Benefits Council. He remains active in each organization.

Since 2007, Mark has taught courses at Georgetown Law – with one course focused on executive compensation, business, and governance, another on ESOPs, and another on the intersection of benefit plans and employment-related agreements with restrictive covenants such as non-competes. Associated with these, he maintains www.executiveloyalty.org.

Because of Mark’s active representation of individual executives (and, on occasion, executive teams), he established and maintains www.graymatternetwork.org in order to provide advice for executives who are leaving a position, considering a new job or business, or wanting to remain active through networking with similarly-situated executives.
