Rob Williams is Senior Counsel in the IRS Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International) (“ACCI”), where he advises the IRS and taxpayers on a variety of international tax matters. At ACCI, Rob participates in the development of regulatory and subregulatory guidance, the issuance of private letter rulings, and assists the IRS with respect to examinations and controversies. He has expertise in cross-border taxable and tax-free acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
Prior to joining ACCI, Rob worked in private practice in the tax departments of law firms in Washington D.C.
Rob earned a B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia.
