Irisa Čevra
Ms. Irisa Čevra (Bosnia and Herzegovina) is an international and national consultant specialized in criminal law, humanitarian law, human rights and rule of law standards, with more than 24 years of experience in a wide-range of projects. She is currently a Senior Expert and Associate Fellow at the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group for Ukraine, implemented by Georgetown Law. Ms. Čevra was a national legal practitioner, previously served as a Head of the Legal Advisory Section at the War Crimes Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (POBiH), and Attorney at Law. She also served as a Visiting National Prosecutor from the POBiH at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and Legal Advisory Coordinator at the Rule of Law/Human Rights Department of the OSCE Mission to BiH. Her focus primarily included strategic approaches to investigations and prosecutions of complex atrocity crimes cases and transitional justice issues. Ms. Čevra conducted a variety of comprehensive analyses and trainings aimed to improve investigations, prosecutions and adjudications of atrocity crimes, as well as organized crime and corruption.
