Academic Year 2017-2018

Seokbae Bhang is visiting from Korea by invitation of the O'Neill Institute whereby he will be engaged in independent research focusing on the protection and exchange of health information. His visit continues through December 27, 2017.

Najeong Kim is a visitor from South Korea where she is an Associate Attorney with Shin & Kim. She will conduct comparative research between the constitutional restructuring system of South Korea and the United States. Her visit continues through August 31, 2017.

Hakjin Lee is a visitor from Korea where he is a Senior Associate at Kim & Chang. His research will focus on a comparative study of US and Korean laws on baking, securities and capital market participation. His visit continues through July 31, 2017.

Sanhae Lee is a visitor from South Korea where he is an attorney with the Korean Government Legal Service (KGLS). His research is focused on comparing the similarities and differences of various administrative activities between the U.S. and South Korea legal systems. His visit continues through December 31, 2017.

Seong Min Park is visiting from South Korea where he is a Public Prosecutor with the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Korea. His research will involve a comparative analysis of the criminal justice system between the U.S. and Korea as well as practice and theory of evidence law in the U.S. His visit continues through December 18, 2017.

Aya Okada, a judge from the Kofu District and Family Courts, Japan, is visiting to conduct a comparative study of the legal systems of Japan and the United States. Her research will focus primarily on civil procedures in order to explore the measures of enhancing and expediting future trials in Japan. Her visit continues through June 30, 2018.
