Ian Carrico is a third-year law student at the Georgetown University Law Center. Before law school, Carrico was a software engineer for Vox Media and Four Kitchens, specializing in web performance and advertising technologies. He attended The University of Texas at Austin. He majored in Asian Studies with a focus on East Asian government and politics, graduating in May 2011. As a law student at Georgetown, Carrico has focused his studies on the intersection of privacy, cybersecurity, and national security.
