Aziarah grew up in Voorhees, New Jersey, after spending the earlier years of her childhood living in several states along the East Coast. She is a fifth-generation alum of North Carolina A&T State University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Aziarah is a passionate public servant and advocate. During her undergraduate years she served as the Community Service Chair for her campus’ chapter of Planned Parenthood Generation Action, a Student Senator in the Student Government Association, Director of Student Relations on the Honors Student Advisory Board, President of the Aggie Economics Association, and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc..

Prior to law school, Aziarah was an associate at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The most invigorating project she worked on included supporting a client in its efforts to understand and address challenges preventing equitable academic outcomes for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and low-income students in higher-education. Her research provided context to understand the unique needs of this population, as well as solutions to close the achievement gap such as digital courseware to supplement in-class instruction, a virtual assistant to help students with planning and organization, and more. After leaving BCG, Aziarah completed an Americorps service year; As a Leadership Fellow at Saga Education, she provided individualized academic support to Black and Latinx high school students, many of whom faced instability outside the classroom that directly affected their ability to learn and thrive. These experiences deepened her understanding of how educational outcomes are shaped by broader systems of care and accountability and reinforced her interest in child-centered advocacy that prioritizes stability, safety, and the child’s best interests.

Aziarah’s lived experiences as a student and an educator have instilled both an intolerance for systems that fail to protect and support young people and a strong desire to contribute to their improvement. At Georgetown Law Aziarah continues to pursue her interest in advancing equitable outcomes for children and desires to build a career in child-centered public interest advocacy.

In her free time, Aziarah enjoys practicing yoga, cooking/trying new foods, spending time in nature, and traveling.
