Born and raised in New York City, Kristin comes to Georgetown with a passion for persuasive advocacy, public relations, and criminal justice reform. Kristin attended University at Albany, where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. Kristin is a passionate oral advocate; she spent a combined seven years competing on mock trial teams at a city, state and national level, and served as the student coach of UAlbany’s Mock Trial team.

During college, Kristin explored her interest in state government, interning for New York State Senators Chris Jacobs and Jamaal Bailey, where she conducted research on New York’s criminal discovery laws and prison labor reform. Afterwards, Kristin spent nearly two years working at a state and federal criminal defense firm based in Albany, New York. In this role, she developed a passion for creating compelling defense narratives.

After college, Kristin worked at a strategic communications agency in New York City, where she serviced clients in connection with various local, state, and federal public affairs campaigns. She worked on a broad range of policy initiatives, from growing the Tri-state area housing supply, to protecting and expanding the Affordable Care Act. In this role, Kristin managed reporter relationships, organized press conferences, and drafted op-eds on behalf of elected officials, successfully pitching them to Editorial Boards across New York State. Kristin’s op-eds have been published in the New York Daily News, Buffalo News, Albany Times Union, City and State New York, and more.

At Georgetown Law, Kristin is pursuing opportunities in federal public service and trial advocacy. After law school, she hopes to marry her communications skills with tactical legal knowledge to become an effective and dynamic advocate for others.
