Kyle Mandell

Kyle Mandell graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in 2025, where he studied history and literature with a focus on the Spanish-speaking world. His senior thesis examined literary reactions to the outcomes of the Spanish-American War in Cuba and Spain. Throughout college, he pursued multiple opportunities abroad that informed his interest in international legal work. He spent one semester studying at a university in Madrid and one summer interning for EuroClio, an education-focused NGO in The Hague, Netherlands. His time in The Hague offered an introduction to international law and motivated him to explore the field professionally.

In the year between graduating from college and starting law school, Kyle worked as an Education Fellow at Dumbarton Oaks, a museum and research institute in Washington, DC. At Dumbarton Oaks, Kyle contributed research to original educational curricula and programming, coordinated with schools across the DMV, and facilitated in-person learning experiences for student groups. He also leveraged the scholarship and archives at Dumbarton Oaks to create accessible materials and resources for the museum audience.

In law school, Kyle plans to continue pursuing his interests in international law, language study, and educational access. In his free time, you can find him on a run, a hike, or selecting his next read at the library.
